Overview

When I stepped into the Social Media Manager role at The Local Church, my goal wasn’t just to “post consistently.” It was to turn a real-life community into a digital one that people could feel.

The Local Church is built on familia — belonging, shared life, and authentic connection. My job was to bring that culture online in a way that didn’t feel corporate, forced, or promotional — but real. Through consistent storytelling, campaign-based structure, and high-impact short-form video, I built a content system that grew organically while strengthening emotional connection.

Publishing 7 times a week (including 2–3 Reels), I focused on content that did three things: reached new people, sparked conversation, and moved audiences toward action. The result was measurable growth, high non-follower discovery, and engagement rates that outperformed industry averages — all while keeping the brand deeply human.

Strategy

  • Shifted to community-first storytelling

  • Built structured weekly sermon and event campaigns

  • Introduced short-form video (2–3 Reels/week) to increase discovery

  • Optimized captions and CTAs to drive clicks and next steps

  • Maintained a high-volume content system: 7 posts/week (700 posts over 2 years)

Tools: Meta Business Suite, Adobe Suite, Canva, Analytics Reporting

  • Increased engagement efficiency and follower growth

  • Strengthened brand identity around community and belonging

  • Built a scalable, campaign-based content engine

  • Turned social platforms into an extension of in-person culture
